Jesper Berg, Director General Jesper Berg joined the Danish FSA as Director General in October 2015. From 2010 to 2015 he was a member of the Executive Board at Nykredit Bank, a part of the Nykredit Group, which is the largest lender in Denmark. He was also responsible for regulatory affairs and ratings at the Group level. Jesper Berg has previously held positions as Head of Financial Stability, Head of Market Operations and Head of Payment Systems at the Danish Central Bank. He also served as Head of the Capital Markets and Financial Structure Division at the European Central Bank from 2000 to 2004 and was earlier economist at IMF’s Exchange and Trade Relations Department. Jesper Berg is MSc in Economics and Management from the University of Copenhagen and has an MBA from IMD. He is an adjunct professor at the Copenhagen Business School. He has written extensively on financial issues, and was the co-author of ‘Finansernes Fald’, a book about the financial crisis, which was published in 2009. |

Kristian Vie Madsen, Deputy Director General
Kristian Vie Madsen was appointed Deputy Director General in 2011. He is responsible for the supervision of banks, mortgage credit institutions, computer services, economic statistics, international market contact, funding, liquidity and SIFI analysis. From 2007-2011 Kristian Vie Madsen served as Director at the FSA, and from 2005-2007 he held a position as Director at Danish Ministry of Business and Growth. Kristian Vie Madsen is MSc in Mathematics-Economics from Aarhus University.

Carsten Brogaard, Deputy Director General
Carsten Brogaard was appointed Deputy Director General in January 2018. He is responsible for the supervision of life assurance, pension funds and general insurance and reassurance. Carsten Brogaard joined the Danish FSA in 2011 as Director of the Division of Supervision of Labour Market Pension Funds regulated under Solvency II and Company Pension Funds regulated under the IORP directive. He has previously worked in the Nordea Group, the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister´s office. Carsten Brogaard is MSc in Economics and Management from Aarhus University.

Rikke-Louise Ørum Petersen, Deputy Director General
Rikke-Louise Ørum Petersen was appointed Deputy Director General in February 2018. She is responsible for the supervision of the legal area, anti money laundering, governance, computer services and consumer protection. Rikke-Louise Ørum Petersen joined the Danish FSA in 2015 as Director of the Legal Division and International Team. Rikke-Louise Ørum Petersen has previously worked in the Ministry of Justice and the Danish Parliamentary Ombudsman. In the Ministry of Justice she has among other things been Director of the Property Law Division and affiliated with the Prosecution Service. Rikke-Louise Ørum Petersen is LL.M. from the University of Copenhagen.

Karen Dortea Abelskov, Deputy Director General Karen Dortea Abelskov was appointed Deputy Director General in February 2018. She is responsible for the supervision of capital markets, financial reporting, IT-security and investor protection. Karen Dortea Abelskov joined the Danish FSA in 2009. In 2010 she was appointed Director of Small Banks Division. Karen Dortea Abelskov has previously worked in the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs and the European Commission. Karen Dortea Abelskov is MSc in Economics and Management from the University of Copenhagen.
